Kybella

Treatment with Kybella may be right for you if you are unhappy with the look of small areas of excess fat or skin, such as those under your chin.  The product works by breaking down fat cells, which can reduce the size of those cells and result in a thinner, more defined area.  Most patients require more than one treatment to achieve their desired results.  Once you have achieved your desired results, the results of Kybella last for years.

Kybella may not be the right option for you if you have had previous surgery on the area, are planning on having surgery in that area, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.  In such cases, other options, such as liposuction, surgery, or abatement may be better treatment alternatives.

Because Kybella works by breaking down cells, following treatment with Kybella, the area that is treated will be red, swollen, and sore.  Patients should expect visible redness and swelling for at least 10-14 days after each treatment.
